Brooklyn Cowboys reclaim #1 Spot on Reverb Nation Chart!!!
After 5 straight years at #1, and several more years moving up and down the chart in the Top 20, followed by a disappearance from the chart entirely, The Brooklyn Cowboys recently returned to the Reverb Nation Country charts, and today, reclaimed our #1 spot locally, AND, for the first time, are in the Top 10 regionally, at #2!!! Maybe we should release our live album! Any record company takers out there? https://www.reverbnation.com/brooklyncowboys
JUST WANTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THERE IS A NEW BLOG POST UP TODAY, 5/6/17, THE FIRST ONE SINCE THE END OF 2013. CHECK IT OUT ON THE BLOG PAGE.

CATCHING UP WITH THE BROOKLYN COWBOYS
Welcome to the online home of The Brooklyn Cowboys. I know many of you have wondered what the band has been up to, and I am now pleased to be able to catch y'all up!
We've been on hiatus since 2003, following the release of "Dodging Bullets" and our last American tour, but the individual members have been quite busy in the interim.
I have recently discovered a cool new website, started by former Wetlands, and current Capitol Theatre and Brooklyn Bowl owner, Peter Shapiro. It's kind of a concert history site for fans and artists, and it's called www.fans.com, of course. What else, right? I joined as a fan, (Fredro11, and you can follow me. It ain't just gonna be Brooklyn Cowboys on my personal page), and posted a bunch of cool Brooklyn Cowboys stuff (pics, live clips, etc.). I was pleasantly surprised to find that The Brooklyn Cowboys already had a page and a few fans there, and I am now in the process of taking control of The Brooklyn Cowboys page. I will be posting some very cool stuff there soon, that's not even available on this website, at the moment. Once it goes up on Fans, it will probably also find its way onto this site as well, and I'll update the links page to include our Fans page. While on the links page, please consider visiting our Reverb Nation site and Facebook page, and becoming fans there. We need all the fans we can get!!! So, that's all kind of fun and exciting!
Walter Egan has been continuing his always vital solo career, as well as recording and touring with Burrito Deluxe. He spent a few years commuting between Nashville and Washington, D.C. teaching a music business course at his alma mater, Georgetown University, and last year had the unusual pleasure of having one of his hit songs, "Hot Summer Nights", sampled by Eminem for his smash hit, "We Made You", for which he received a writer's credit.
Buddy Cage reformed The New Riders of the Purple Sage with other original member, David Nelson, former Hot Tuna guitarist Michael Falzarano, and Johnny Markowski and Ronnie Penque of Stir Fried, who Buddy played with before The Brooklyn Cowboys. The Riders have been touring relentlessly to large crowds and have recorded some of their best work on "Where I Come From", their latest studio CD, which was released on Professor Louie's Woodstock Records.
Our keyboard player, Michael Webb, has worked on several GRAMMY winning records, toured with John Fogerty and Bobby Keys, and is always working with Poco, Fugitive Glue, Webb Wilder, and numerous side projects.
Brian Waldschlager, or just plain Waldschlager, as he's now known, recorded an amazing solo album with Brooklyn Cowboys, Mark Miller and Michael Webb, Nashville guitarslinger, Tim Carroll, and drummer, Craig Wright. He recently got married and moved back home to Knoxville.
Our 3 bass players have all been keeping busy too. Jeff 'Stick' Davis moved to Indiana to live with his high school sweetheart, and is in demand as a bass player, as always. Michael 'Supe' Grande is still spending his summers with The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, as he has since 1972, has written a book about the band, "It Shined" and got married again, to a Cubs fan, of all people! Mark Miller, who toured with us on our last tour, joined BR-549 and has also been touring and recording with Chuck Mead.
I've been buying and selling guitars and other musical gear at my store, Reservoir Music Center, near Woodstock, NY, playing in 5 or 6 local bands, and writing what I consider to be some of the best songs of my career, which I can't wait to record with The Cowboys, or maybe my new, Fredro-fronted band, The Swindlers.
On our last tour, we recorded a live CD at The Mint in LA., which I've been shopping for a label for and hope to see released in the near future.
We'll try to have email set up on this site very soon, so please keep in touch online. For now, you can reach me and The Brooklyn Cowboys, at [email protected].
Regards, Fredro
